Course Dynamics

From the middle of the 20th century until 1973, Thai baht was changed at a rate of 20.8 for $ 1. It was a fixed quote. Until 1978, the value of the American currency was 20 ฿. In 1997, the financial crisis came in Asia, after which the bat instantly fell in price 2 times, by early 1998, the dollar was costed 56 ฿. On December 19, 2006, the Bank of Thailand adopted a series of measures that led to a significant discrepancy between the exchange rates on the shelf and onshore with a spread of up to 10% between the two markets. Control was withdrawn in the spring of 2008.

The global crisis caused the fall of the US currency, by March 2009 the exchange rate changed to 36 THB for 1 USD. The last 10 years, the Thai economics remains relatively stable. Today, the country's currency ranks 10th in the world among the most used.
