Average bank exchange rate from data above: Buy 1 rub = 0.29 thb / Sell 1 rub = 0.42 thb

When you are going to travel to Thailand, it is customary to familiarize yourself with the ruble exchange rate in relation to the local currency in advance. Comparison of quotations of various banks and free currency exchanges will help you to make the most correct choice in exchange.

Course Dynamics

The ruble is the oldest monetary unit after pounds sterling, it has been used since the 13th century. Modern ruble appeared in December 1991 in parallel with Soviet money, which remained in circulation until September 1993. In 1998, reform was launched in Russia, a new ruble began to cost 1,000 old banknotes. This had a positive impact: it reduced the nominal amount of money, simplified the calculation of the population and the conduct of payment transactions.

A ruble banknote costs 100 kopecks, one baht equals 100 satangs. Both currencies are regulated by central banks: the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the Bank of Thailand. Historical RUB/THB rates are: January 4, 1999, at this moment the rate was 1₽ = 1,685 ฿, and on January 22, 2016 - the quote is 1 RU = 0,437 TH.

Today, a floating exchange rate in Russian Federation is supported by sufficiently strong reserves. The processes associated with the fall of the national currency in recent years can be compared to the financial crisis in Thailand in 1997, which spread to South Korea, Taiwan and other ASEAN countries. At the beginning of 2018 1₽ on average costed 0.555 ฿.

Recommendation

Thai baht is widely used for exchanges outside of Thailand. Nevertheless, tariffs in the state itself are more profitable, it is more reasonable to exchange money on arrival for rest. Using the information presented on the website, you can choose the most profitable course.
